Daisy is a very loving and affectionate dog. She loves to cuddle and give you kisses. She loves playing with other dogs and would benefit from another dog in the house. She also loves to run and is very fast. She loves the dog park where she can run and run. She would benefit greatly from a large fenced yard where she can run as much as she wants. She has not been exposed to cats, so I do not know how she will react. While at the dog park, she has interacted with children without any problems. She can get very excited when greeting someone and will jump on them, so very young children may be unintentionally hurt by falling down when she greets them. She does respond to a firm "off or no" command. She will want to cuddle with you in bed, but will return to her bed when it is time to go to sleep. She snores.☺

Daisy is very food driven and using treats, is a good training tool. She currently responds to simple commands: sit, stay, if repeated command, off, down, no, quiet. If you tell her to "go to bed", she will go to her bed. She loves to chew and has a very strong bite. The best items are large marrow bones, elk horns, golf balls. She will chew to pieces, in a very short time, anything made of fabric. Daisy is also very sensitive and frightened by loud noises or sudden noises. She doesn't like to get wet, but when giving a bath, she will hold still.  She is also house broken.

When in a new environment, Daisy will chew on anything left out till she feels safe and secure. So keep remotes, favored shoes, clothing, pillows, etc out of reach. Make sure she has something else to chew on. This behavior will pass.

Daisy is a wonderful dog. She would thrive in a home with humans that are younger, very active and have another dog in the home. She loves the companionship of another dog. She will give you unconditional love and a sweetness to your life that will fill your heart and will leave you smiling.
